healthy meals

I'm fascinated with garbanzos lately!

They fulfill two imperatives of mine - one to eat very clean and healthy, not necessarily vegetarian, but low on animal products; and the second imperative is to cut my grocery bill. I'm struggling like everyone else and I just can't spend crazy money on food like I used to. I'm almost trying to make it a fun challenge to try to figure out ways to eat very inexpensively. Oh, I forgot, there really is a third reason I eat them. They taste yummy.

Here's one recipe I came up with:

*Can of garbanzos (I love saying this word!!!)

*One chopped tomatoe

*A few carrots

*Some paprika

*Squirt of a lemon or two

This is something I saw at the store and loved. But I really don't have a use or place for it. But by taking a photo of it, I can have this cool image with me!

shoes i don't need

It's been about one week since I saw these flippies at T.J. Maxx and was dying to have them. The black and pink Ralph Lauren's are adorable, not to mention my favorite colors. But I already have so many flippies, black ones, pink ones, I don't need anymore. I'm glad I waited, this delay thing, and getting it out of my system by keeping a photo of it on my iPhone really did the trick!

Here are some more items I have seen in stores and wanted to buy!
I'm really into nests (maybe it's the brown and the pretty blue combination that i love) so when I was at the craft store I took this pic of a nest. also took these other photos of beautiful things and made the floral photos my screensaver on my iPhone.

I decided that instead of buying the pretty things I see in the stores, I will just take a photo of them so as not to forget their beauty. And if I really want the item after a few weeks, I will go back and get it. But I'm finding that the photo of the beautiful thing is often enough.

It has been quite a while since i have last written, it"s been a few crazy work weeks since i got the new job, haven"t had much time for anything but lots of work, the weekends are really the only time i get to socialize so instead of doing crafty things, i want out of the house! but i miss my creative stuff so much, i have to find a way to fit it in, the beauty of the things i can create is what gets me out of bed some days, at least today an image of a rain photo that i had in my head got me out of bed, it gave me that spark i needed to move.

The camera I got in the mail from my credit card company (for charging enough 'points') probably isn't going to do the job. Like my friend Ashe suggested weeks ago, I should just buy a good camera rather than fiddling with something mediocre. But I get intimidated easily with technological things and I felt like I should start small. For the time being I will upload my craft photos with this camera but I will be on the lookout for a better one...This photo is of a potholder I made for Ashe and his wife for the holidays. It was part of their holiday gift.
