living for beauty
It has been quite a while since i have last written, it"s been a few crazy work weeks since i got the new job, haven"t had much time for anything but lots of work, the weekends are really the only time i get to socialize so instead of doing crafty things, i want out of the house! but i miss my creative stuff so much, i have to find a way to fit it in, the beauty of the things i can create is what gets me out of bed some days, at least today an image of a rain photo that i had in my head got me out of bed, it gave me that spark i needed to move.

testing out my digital expertise with new camera
The camera I got in the mail from my credit card company (for charging enough 'points') probably isn't going to do the job. Like my friend Ashe suggested weeks ago, I should just buy a good camera rather than fiddling with something mediocre. But I get intimidated easily with technological things and I felt like I should start small. For the time being I will upload my craft photos with this camera but I will be on the lookout for a better one...This photo is of a potholder I made for Ashe and his wife for the holidays. It was part of their holiday gift.

my favorite girls with my favorite hats

Okay, so here are even more photos of my hats....these are modeled by Kelsey and Sammi, my two favorite little girls. One of the hats was for Kelsey (left) on her birthday and the other hat was for my cousin Beth for her birthday. But instead of Beth modeling it, her daughter Sammi decided to model it for me.

hiatius
I've still been making hats, I've lost count by now. I gave a multi-colored one to Gitika and it looks beautiful on her. She's a walking ad for my hats, I swear. I will upload photos of her in my hat asap.

too many crafts...
I didn't end up getting any craft books or kits for Christmas. It's probably just as well as I have so many projects at home to finish, not sure when I will get the time to do them!
I'm on my 8th hat now, still not bored by this type of knitting... Was thinking of maybe spicing some of the hats up with buttons on the brims.
I tried to make the loom scarf but something went wrong so I unraveled it and will have to try it again. Picking up how to knit the scarf is much harder than learning the hat pattern, which came to me without trouble.

fifth hat

I finished my fifth green hat (so relaxing) and started a multi-colored one. I want to give a green one to Beth for her birthday and the multi-colored one to Beth's daughter, Kelsey, whose birthday is about one week later. Here's a pic of me wearing one of the green ones at a bar in Stamford. The first photo is scenery from the bar, taken by Ash.
